At the end of April, a delegation from the University of Debrecen visited several universities in the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Nanjing. Our institutional leaders also participated in the Sino-Hungarian Higher Education Forum held under the aegis of the 13th Educational Global Partners Conference.

The University of Debrecen students and researchers have provided the highest number of Fulbright scholars in Hungary - this announcement was made at the information session of the International Office of the University of Debrecen, presenting this year's applications of the world's most prestigious scholarship programme. Every year, Fulbright offers 25 Hungarian students, researchers and teachers the opportunity to work as academic researchers and gain professional experience in the United States of America.
A new type of fluorine-containing compounds chemically related to antitumour and antiviral agents, produced at the University of Debrecen's Faculty of Pharmacy, could play a role in the treatment of many serious diseases in the future. The scientific article on this topic was selected as one of the flagship publications of January by the Department of Chemical Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

In the case of theoretical lessons (lecture, seminar), we strive to maintain a protective distance of 1.5 meters if possible. If a protective distance of 1.5 meters cannot be maintained, a mask must be worn, and if a protective distance of 1.5 meters is maintained, it is recommended that students attending classes wear a mask.
