Representatives of partner companies could learn in detail about wide-ranging corporate network and development strategy of the University of Debrecen, the training system and new investments at the Faculty of Engineering, as well as the industrial development plans and achievements of our city at the conference named Az Ipar Napja Debrecenben [Industry Day in Debrecen]. There were some thirty companies represented at the exhibition of the related trade fair in the building of Lovarda [the former Equestrian Center].

A new 20-bed inpatient unit of the Gastroenterology Clinic in the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen has been opened recently at Kenézy Gyula Campus. This ward is to treat primarily patients suffering from pancreatic and biliary diseases, and it has been designed to provide an even higher level of patient care than before. The activities of the new unit were presented to the management of the Clinical Center on Monday.
The University of Debrecen and the company Beijing LINEMILES Technology are to launch a cooperation project in order to promote Sino-Hungarian technological innovation and the development of the start-up and spin-off ecosystem of the University of Debrecen. The relevant strategic partnership agreement was signed at the University of Debrecen on Monday.
More than 3200 square metres have been added to the University of Debrecen's Faculty of Engineering building complex on the Ótemető Street campus. The new, two-storey facility primarily houses teaching units, laboratories, student community spaces and offices. Balázs Hankó, the Minister of Culture and Innovation, called the University of Debrecen an outstanding example of renewed Hungarian higher education at the inauguration ceremony on Friday.
