TEVA and the University of Debrecen established this department, which offers unique opportunities, in 2011 to establish this department, which offers unique opportunities: within its framework, pharmacy students can attend lectures specific to the pharmaceutical industry over the course of two semesters and gain practical experience in large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing by spending part of their time at the factory.
The syllabus for the second semester of the fourth year is listed as a compulsory subject in the curriculum. During these classes, students will, amongst other things, learn about the industrial production of solid, semi-solid and sterile preparations, quality control in the pharmaceutical industry, and the registration process. Students attend the theoretical lectures at the University of Debrecen, whilst they undertake their practical training at the company’s sites in Debrecen and Gödöllő.
In the first semester of the fifth year, students who have successfully completed the theoretical module and are interested in industrial pharmaceutical manufacturing can further expand their professional knowledge through classes held at TEVA’s sites.
