Pharmaceutical forms and drug intake

The workshop deals with the design, production, and biopharmaceutical evaluation of state-of-the-art dosage forms. The research studies modified active ingredient-release solid and topical formulations, micro- and nanoparticles, liposomes, emulsion systems, and 3D printed drug forms. The formulation is complemented by permeability, safety and efficacy studies on cellular barrier models.

Development of external pharmaceutical forms
Pálma Fehér I Dermal Drug Form I Plant Extract
The research group is primarily engaged in the development and investigation of external preparations containing plant extracts, such as creams, gels and other dermal formulations. The research includes drug form studies of formulations, biocompatibility studies of excipients and extracts on cell lines, as well as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, wound healing and other therapeutic effects of the preparation.

Nanomedicine and nucleic acid-based drug delivery

The group's research interests include pharmaceutical technology and nanomedicine, with a focus on the formulation and biopharmaceutical investigation of lipid nanoparticles and nucleic acid carrier systems. The developments are related to the analysis of cellular and molecular mechanisms, especially in the fields of inflammation, autoimmunity, tumor therapy, siRNA delivery, microfluidics and organ-on-chip models.
